2008 Lighting Schedule

JUNE 28 - JUNE 30 - CN TOWER LIGHTING

JULY 1 - CANADA DAY

JULY 4 - USA INDEPENDENCE DAY (top of the hour effect)

JULY 2 - JULY 31 - CN TOWER LIGHTING

AUG. 1 - AUG. 31 - CN TOWER LIGHTING

SEPT. 4 - mid-November - Continuing with past policy, during this bird migration period the CN Tower will reduce exterior lighting to prevent potential bird collisions. For lighting, there will be streaks of light that travel up and down the CN Tower, changing colour from yellow, blue, green, orange and white. At the top of the hour, there will be a rotating white light around the Radome for 5 minutes.

Past notes:

Note from CN Tower Staff regarding Independence Day

Please note that the on-going standard program honours Canada’s colours in red and white. At the top of each hour there will be an effect that may change from time to time. While we continue to feature Canadian programming in red and white, on July 4th at the top of the hour we acknowledged our neighbours in the United States and all those who chose to visit Toronto and Canada over the US Independence Day holiday weekend, with a red white and blue effect at the top of each hour. [See more details on the CN Tower lighting policy page.]
